Predicting Electrical Compatibility

Evonet Energy has a patented system for encapsulating all of the electrical and mechanical characteristics of an electricity supply or load appliance into a single machine-readable data packet. You might think of this as a way to formalise a Technical Specification for an electricity supply system or a load, in a way  that can be used and interpreted automatically. A smartphone app can compare the label for an electricity supply with the label for an appliance, and anticipate any incompatibilities that might arise.  This means that: Users will not buy unsuitable appliances for their limited electricity supply They will be discouraged from trying something by being told if it will be unsafe or will damage their equipment. A market will emerge for converters between competing types of off-grid electricity system   With this system, anyone with a smartphone – even someone with absolutely no understanding of Volts or Amps – will be able to manage their electrical installation safely, and make good use of every last watt and watt-hour available to them.
